Traveling with our team takes us to great destinations around the world. This time we are heading Kyoto with Vesela Ilieva, Managing Partner at Unique Estates. She will tell us more about this fabulous place with ancient history that she has recently visited.
Japan is a destination that has always been attracting for Vesela. The reason for her trip there is the invitation of a close family friend to celebrate his anniversary in the old capital of Imperial Japan.
Kyoto is an very interesting destination with rich history and culture. The city is the only place today where you can see the traditional Japanese houses - machiya. There are also some of the most famous temples, palaces and gardens in Japan.
"For two weeks in Kyoto, we were able to see all the famous sights in the city. The place is exceptional, but what really impressed me was the people with their purity, culture and upbringing. Their behavior and attitude towards others is focused entirely on the care of others. They are restrained, disciplined and polite, something that in the commercialized Western world would be perceived as too naive. Their priority is not their personal interest, but that of others and the society. The rules are respected and everyone is very disciplined. Purity and silence are raised in cult. As a result, they live in a more relaxed and settled environment, which is a prerequisite for a more balanced and meaningful life. We can only learn from them, "says Vesela.
After exploring the Geisha Quarter and getting acquainted with their interesting story at a Japanese theater performance, the women from the group have been transformed into true geisha and in this look they have spent the whole day exploring the city. "The experience is incomparable. This transformation is a real ritual that brings you to another time and space. Really impressive, "she says.
Healthy eating there is also raised in a cult. The Japanese know Bulgaria well and appreciate Bulgarian yoghurt as a source of health and longevity.
Kyoto is a very green place, rich in natural parks, sanctuaries with lush vegetation and beautiful lakes. Another interesting experience, which Vesela Ilieva tells us about, is staying at an authentic Japanese hotel, located in a thermal springs area.
From this journey, Vesela took back home a handmade Japanese doll - an authentic samurai.
We thank her for the shared emotions and footage of this interesting trip to the land of the rising sun and fabulous Kyoto.
