Summer comes with yearning for the sun, the scent of the sea, beautiful sunsets and shared moments. It is also the time we travel around the world, explore different cultures and recharge for the active working season.
Unique Estates' travels tell stories about beautiful destinations we experience through the footnotes and impressions of each of its members. On this next trip, consultant Daniela Tonova will walk us through the streets of a charming town, famous for its historic channels, interesting architecture and spirit. We head to Amsterdam.
The sunny weather and Daniela's good mood took her to the cultural and financial center of the Netherlands last week. This is not her first visit to the city, but only now she has managed to spend a week and get to know it better, along with a group of close friends.
The program of their trip includes all the tourist attractions in Amsterdam. Daniela is impressed by the architecture in the historic city center, with its many medieval churches, residential and commercial buildings that keep the spirit of the place. They head to dozens of cultural centers, local cafes, trade centers and museums on the central Damrak Street. At the famous Dam Square is the Royal Palace and the Madame Tussauds Museum, which both fascinate with their architecture and exhibitions. The company continues with the Van Gogh Museum, the Red Lantern District, the Amsterdam Dungeon, the Vondelpark and the Heineken Museum. They spend part of their trip in Hague.
"I am impressed by how common it is to use bicycles as a means of transportation in Amsterdam. There are wonderful conditions for this and the air is cleaner. People are more relaxed and smiling, "says Daniela.
From the trip she has brought a big teddy bear, souvenirs from local authors and wonderful emotions.
The next destination on her list is the beautiful Greek island of Zakynthos.
We thank Daniela for the shared experience and wish her a fantastic summer.
