Dubai Tourism Continues to Grow - Nearly 7 Million International Visitors in Eight Months
Dubai continues to attract international visitors at a steady pace in 2026. According to data from Economy Middle East, approximately 6.97 million international tourists visited the emirate during the first eight months of the year. The tourism sector plays an important role in Dubai’s economy, supporting a range of other industries - from hospitality, retail and aviation to entertainment and real estate. Every new visitor has the opportunity to experience the emirate’s infrastructure, lifestyle and business environment firsthand. For some international visitors, this initial visit may subsequently develop into a decision to relocate, establish a business or invest in real estate.
The development of tourism is also part of Dubai’s broader strategy under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to strengthen the city’s position as one of the world’s leading economic centres. The impact of visitors on the real estate market extends beyond short-term accommodation. Sustained international visitor flows support interest in holiday homes, short-term rentals, branded residences, luxury developments and properties in areas with well-developed infrastructure. For international buyers, Dubai is increasingly not simply a holiday destination, but a potential destination for a second home, an investment or long-term relocation.
The continued growth of tourism is creating favourable conditions for several market segments. Properties located close to key attractions, beaches, business centres and hospitality destinations can benefit from sustained demand for both short- and long-term accommodation.
Luxury branded residences also remain particularly interesting, combining residential use with hotel-style services, amenities and an internationally recognised brand – characteristics that attract buyers seeking both lifestyle and investment value.
With each passing year, Dubai attracts millions of new international visitors, some of whom subsequently become residents, entrepreneurs or investors. This ability to convert global interest in the city into long-term presence is one of the factors that continues to support the development of its real estate market.
There are several important factors to consider when buying a property to ensure you make the right decision. These are the location and size of the property, the budget you have, and the type and condition of the property.
