I discovered the charm of working in real estate nearly 20 years ago and that magic has not left me ever since. Before joining Unique Estates, for 9 years I was part of the team of an international real estate company, where the main focus of my work was corporate clients from Bulgarian and international companies, as well as embassies. The experience I gained there, as well as my desire to continue developing in the industry, were appreciated by Mrs. Vesela Ilieva. I am grateful for the opportunity she gave me then to join the team of professionals at Unique Estates.
The first years in the company I was mainly focused on the rental segment, where the work is extremely dynamic, deals happen quickly. One of my big achievements was my successful work with a leading telecommunications company when I accommodated over 30 clients within a few months. Subsequently, I refocused on sales, which, in the majority of cases, is more time-consuming, costs a lot of nerves, but the pleasure after the successful completion of the deal is more than great, because you’ve helped the customers find their new home.
The awards I have received over the years include several Customer champion awards (based on received feedback from the served customers after a transaction), as well as awards for a big number of transactions and a big number of signed/realized exclusives, etc.
Before focusing on the field of real estate, I worked at administrative positions. I gained experience and skills related to communication, corporate ethics and business correspondence, which are extremely useful to me now. The work was interesting, but too static for my temperament. As a person who loves movement and meeting people, I felt that this was not quite my thing. When I subsequently got into a real estate company, everything naturally fell into place.
About loyalty to the company - you know it builds over time. When you love your work and your colleagues, it's easy to be professionally committed. Vesela constantly upgrades and develops the business, makes changes in various aspects, for the sake of growth and progress, aims higher and higher - this motivates me and makes me want to develop together with the company.
A successful broker must be ambitious, not give up easily, and be open to learning, because no matter how many years you work in the industry, there is always something new to challenge you. It is necessary for him/her to like the movement and the fact that there is a constant and serious dynamic in the work, to like to communicate and meet new people, to have the patience to listen to them and feel their needs, to be able to "read" between the lines. Over the years, you start to get a better feel for people and sense what might be right for them as a property, even if they themselves haven't realized it yet. I think these are the qualities that younger colleagues should also strive to develop.
For a long time, the work-life balance was not particularly successful for me. With the years and gained experience, however, you learn to arrange your commitments in such a way as to find time for rest. I love to travel - sometimes even 3-4 days of "escape" can help me shake off the stress. I like to dance and meet with friends. The mountain is the thing that for many years has been very energizing for me. I hope to be able to spend more time on my favorite long walks in nature soon.
