In this feature we usually take you to some of the world’s most beautiful places, that people from our team have visited and tell us about. Through the pictures from their trips we have the opportunity to experience different cultures, peoples and lands, sometimes completely unknown. This time, Anastasia Petrova, a consultant at Unique Estates tells us about the history and colors of Bali.
This is not her first trip to the exotic island, but for her Bali is a favorite place she always returns with pleasure. "For me this is a magical island. A spiritual center that has the power to balance and restart you completely, as long as you're ready for it, "says Anastasia. Bali didn’t impress her only with its beautiful beaches and nature, but with its rich history, culture, art and spirituality. Known as the "Island of the 1000 Temples," it stands out in Islamic Indonesia with its culture, ethnicity and religion. Almost all the inhabitants are Hindi. Their life is deeply connected to nature and its gifts, music, arts, spiritual ceremonies and practices. They preach respect for man, nature and divinity, and that makes them truly good and positive to the world.
"Life seems so vivid on this island. I am always amazed by the colours and scents of Bali, the lush nature and prosperity of the people there. The abundance is in that to feel you have enough of what you have, the locals believe, and they are really happy, "says Anastasia. In the years, the tropical island has attracted many foreigners looking for this way of life and philosophy.
The city of Ubud is considered the cultural and spiritual center of Bali. Just there, among the rich vegetation and lush nature, are locoted many temples and yoga centers in which people devote themselves to different spiritual practices.
Bali’s food is spicy but rich in fresh seafood and juicy fruits.
The island is famous for its Balinese dances, sculptures, painting and woodcarving. From this trip Anastasia brought home some exquisite handmade sculptures by local craftsmen in woodcarving.
We thank her for this trip and the beautiful footage of the exotic island of Bali!
