The newest yacht from The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection features private terraces and water views, a world-class culinary scene by Michelin-starred chefs, an expansive infinity pool with a stunning horizon view, and some of the world's most coveted itineraries.
Ilma, the second purpose-built luxury superyacht from The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, has joined the unique luxury hotel company at sea with a seven-day maiden voyage from Monte Carlo to Rome in September. According to Jim Murren, Executive Chairman of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, following in the wake of Evrima, Ilma now also provides ‘legendary service and unparalleled enjoyment’ for its guests. At 240 meters long, Ilma offers 224 spacious suites, each with a private terrace providing direct access to the sea. The yacht's inaugural Mediterranean season included visits to the azure waters of Santorini, the iconic port of Porto Cervo, and historic Valletta, before sailing to the Caribbean with its natural wonders of Virgin Gorda, the lively harbor of Gustavia, and the pristine beauty of St. John.
Ilma will also sail the Northern and Baltic Seas during the 2025 summer season, with fascinating itineraries to dynamic and culturally rich destinations like Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Reykjavik. ‘The launch of Ilma is an example of The Ritz-Carlton's unwavering dedication to setting new standards in luxury travel, as part of the company's mission to provide thoughtful and transformative travel experiences’, says Jenni Benzaquen, Senior Vice President of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts. The sophisticated interior, featuring cool, neutral tones with handcrafted elements and polished finishes, is the work of renowned London-based architectural and design firm AD Associates and the award-winning lighting designer DPA. The exterior reflects the vision of the Helsinki-based design studio Aivan.
Ilma (meaning ‘water’ in Maltese) is inspired by the mythology, coastline, history, and local fauna of Malta. Five restaurants, seven bars, and an exclusive wine cellar cater to the high culinary standards on board. Highlights include two restaurants created by chefs Fabio Trabocchi and Michael Mina, both of whom have been awarded Michelin stars. Seta su Ilma (Italian for ‘silk on water’) by Chef Fabio Trabocchi is a modern Italian restaurant. The Beach House, designed by Toronto-based luxury design firm Chapi Chapo Design, offers a 180-degree view of the ocean. The menu, developed in collaboration with Chef Michael Mina, draws inspiration from the bold, fiery flavors of South and Central America. Other experiences on board include The Ritz-Carlton Spa, a rejuvenating oasis with restorative treatments from ESPA, 111SKIN, and Pisterzi.
