When you want to sell your home, it must look stunning for future owners. Here are eight helpful tips on how to arrange and furnish your home and give it more life.
1. Minimize
Most people live in the space they are trying to sell, and that means that much of their personal belongings are on display. To be ready for presentation, remove almost all books and accessories from the cabinets. This is a long process, but sorting and minimizing must be done sooner or later if you want to realize the property.
The type of libraries is extremely important. Books with bright covers coincide and create tension. Expose books with neutral colors in piles of small objects to move the space. The objects around the windows should also be kept to a minimum.
2. Paint in white
No matter how good the gray is or how warm and charming the cream is, the white walls always look great. Paint the walls, cornices, ceilings and doors (unless they are beautiful natural trees). This will make the place look bigger and the ceilings higher. If your kitchen looks worn out, paint the cabinets too.
3. Kitchen for professionals
Every kitchen should look good for experienced chefs. Fill large jars with neutral colored dry products (black beans, black peas, wild rice, pasta) and place them on the shelves. Put cheeses, white ceramics and coffee. So the kitchen looks cozy, as if it's making the most delicious dishes.
4. Neutral and natural
If you are limited financially and you do not have the opportunity for new furniture, improve the look of the old ones. Stick to the white color of bed linen, put on a linen linen and put pillows on top.
As for carpets, although we love the colorful Moroccan design, natural colors are the best choice. Chinese and Middle Eastern carpets do not work for sale: they look brilliant and gaudy, and if space is small - it makes it look even less. If you have floors of yellowish oak, it is good to bleach it - you will create a nice contrast and illuminate the room.
Bathrooms are also no place for design experiments. Take a set of new, fluffy white towels. Buy good, quality single-brand bathroom products. This is where you want your home to look like a hotel: no one embraces the idea of inheriting the bathroom of another unless it looks sterile.
5. The space to "breathe"
Even in massive spaces, we always use furniture that allows the air to be "worn". Include mirrors to create a sense of openness. Not only do they reflect light, they also reflect the point of view, thus luring the eye to take on more colors. Whether it's a high shelf, a vertical basket or a naked bulb, using an element that highlights the vertical space, the room improves the sense of movement and flow.
6. Put in light
We have found that almost all interiors look beautiful, with classic milk glass, globes and candles. We prefer milk glass because it distracts light and does not need to highlight the aesthetics of bulbs. Light bulbs themselves are also important: Compact fluorescent elements can make a room look lighter.
7. Put an abstract art
Art becomes a focal point of almost every room. The main trends are graffiti, figural works, pastel colors, bright colors and collages. You can achieve great effect with black, white and wrapping paper and a decent frame: for pictures on canvas, we often order maple.
8. Add life to plants
When it comes to flowers, fruits and greenery, the real ones are preferable because they bring freshness.
