This December, a week before the brightest Christian holiday - Christmas, German gallery AK Galerie Berlin collaborates with Vivacom Art Hall Oborishte 5 to present a number of talented artists from various European countries. The official opening will be on December 19, 2023 at 5:00 PM in the gallery lounge. The exhibition will be opened by Anna Kimmerli, a German art gallerist, and Denitsa Gergova, art director of the Vivacom Art Hall Oborishte 5 gallery, who will mark the beginning of a long-term partnership between the two galleries.
Gallerist and art dealer Anna Kimmerly has always been interested in the human mind. Her curiosity and passion for social behavior and its effect on individual expression has resulted in an interesting collection of artists that Kimmerly represents.
During the event, you will be able to get to know and buy the special selection of inspiring works - paintings and sculptures by successful European artists - Alexander Dik, Albert Merz, Anna Van Den Houvel, Barbara Pecora and Raul, who are being presented for the first time to the Bulgarian spectator.
Information about part authors:
Raul - Raul is an Italian artist who lives and works between the US and Europe. His style is easily recognizable by his iconic masks and symbols. He works organically and quickly, using emotion and memory as inspiration. The artist studied different cultures as he traveled the world, exploring symbolic languages, energies and meanings, these were translated into his artwork. This language of symbols has led him to exhibit and collaborate around the world, painting murals in Miami's Wynwood Art District, Cadillacs in Los Angeles, and shoe collaborations with high fashion brand Geox in Italy.
Anna van den Hövel - Anna van den Hövel was born into a world of different landscapes and cultures and grew up among the picturesque landscapes of the Austrian Alps and the urban landscape of Munich, resulting in a direct connection between her art and the world. In her studio in Munich, Anna weaves a living tapestry of experiences into her large canvases. Her distinctive style - a mix of bright colors and different materials - is influenced by the multicultural impressions of her childhood and her travels. She is not only an artist but also a storyteller, with each painting a chapter, each exhibition a novel of a young soul traveling the winding paths of self, society and the natural world.
Barbara Pecora - Barbara Pecora deals with the question of what happens when you pour your heart out to someone and it's misunderstood. The young woman remakes her exciting life in Paris with her work. It is difficult to define a certain style. Her art is a combination of neo-expressionism and urban art. A mixture of figurative painting with expressive colors at first glance reminiscent of Jean-Michel Basquiat, but differs from him on closer inspection. In addition, her paintings are accompanied by extensive written materials that allow the viewer to engage extensively with the depicted and guide them through many phases of their lives.
In the contemporary style of all featured artists, we see minimalism, expressionism, iconography and paintings that dance between the natural world and the surreal. Among the many painted and sculpted works in the exhibition, each voice is as individual, emotional and bold as the last.
Come and choose an unforgettable, personalized, original, non-standard gift for relatives and friends for a Christmas present made by a world-famous artist!
You can visit the exhibition until 23.12.2023 in the gallery Vivacom Art Hall Oborishte 5.
