An ambitious architectural, cultural, ecological and social project preserves the traditions of artistic crafts with an eye to the future.

The new architectural landmark in Paris was designed by Rudy Ricciotti and initiated by Chanel. The name ù 19M is inspired, on the one hand, by the 19th arrondissement of the French capital (in which it is located) and by Gabrielle Chanel's date of birth (August 19, 1883), and on the other by Métiers d'art (Artistic Crafts) , fashion, Main (hand), with respect to the professionalism of all master craftsmen associated with haute couture. The complex was created with the idea of sheltering under one roof eleven companies (studios and workshops) specializing in artistic high craftsmanship. All of them work in collaboration with Chanel to create the unsurpassed haute couture collections.
Here are already the Lesage studios (embroidery and tweed), the Lesage School of Artistic Embroidery, as well as the Lesage Intérieurs company, the Montex studios (embroidery), MTX (architectural embroidery), Massaro (shoes), Lemarié (feathers and flowers), Maison Michel (hats), Lognon (pleats), Paloma (tulle and fine fabrics), Goossens (bouquets). These ateliers are grouped under the formation Métiers d'art de Chanel (Chanel's Artistic Crafts). Her vocation is to preserve them, to preserve their rich archives, but also to attract new talents to them in order to perpetuate this very specific French tradition.
