Alexander Tabakov and his EUX Residence are breaking construction stereotypes and creating new standards in housing entrepreneurship.
Alexander Tabakov is from that new, highly educated, and responsible young generation, which is still in its twenties but is confidently beginning to change the business environment in Bulgaria. He studied at prestigious schools and universities in Switzerland and Great Britain, where he graduated in business and finance with the Russian language. One year as a student he was also on a study exchange in Moscow. Like most young people, he recently accepted his country as a better place for personal development, and despite his education, his extensive international contacts, and the four foreign languages he speaks, he returns here. A few years later, he is already the owner of a company that is in the process of creating perhaps the most uncompromising residential complex in our country in terms of construction, ecology, sustainability, design, and practicality. Within a year, the first six single-family houses from his EUX Residence will be available to their future owners in the most picturesque part of the town of Pravets, just an hour's drive from Sofia.
Of course, after I finished my education, my first idea was to enroll in some kind of master's degree and immediately continue studying. But for me, it's profiling something you want to do, and I, a fresh graduate, couldn't have known what was the thing I would be interested in doing with my life. So I decided to go home, work, make sense of what I learned, put it into practice, and then decide. Like any young person seeking self-development, the road was difficult, but not impossible. So I started looking for a job. I went through various positions in various medium-sized companies, I was in the banking sector for a while, and at one time I was also involved in property sales. After that, I also made a website for home textiles - something that gave me a decent opportunity to support myself, but it wasn't enough.
To be honest, my interest in construction was born from a large-scale renovation I did in an old panel apartment of my family. Like any young person, I was looking for a way to rent, but my budget did not allow me to get something decent and independent. In the presence of a vacant already purchased property, I was allowed to renovate and transform it completely according to my understanding and wishes. At first glance, the renovation of a panel apartment seems easy, but changing an apartment more than 30 years old to today's standards turned out to be a difficult task. Everything was taken down to the fittings and the construction of the new and modern began! I was interested in every stage, got acquainted with all kinds of new technologies, and learned a lot. Then it was as if it was already clear to me what I wanted to do – to build modern, comfortable homes, not compromising on quality every step of the way, regardless of the difficulty of the site and the terrain.
Yes. I had heritage land that I wanted to build on, but it was out of regulation. I had nothing but her, and I had to start somewhere. I was helped by an architect friend who made me the first visualizations of the project so that I could present it and look for investors. And the most frequent reaction was: "Oh, but you are either a fraud or a completely naive!" I traveled all over Bulgaria, but I did not achieve success, and therefore I had to look for other methods of capitalization. In the end, however, after two years of effort, everything is now as it should be, and in a year the EUX Residence will be a fact.
That I do everything as I would do it for myself in my dream home. I work with outsourced companies with wonderful young professionals - so I have the best on the market in every segment and I can do every step of the project in the best way. For example, we did a geodetic survey 120 meters underground. Because we build on scat, we know exactly what ground we are on, where to start, and how to proceed at each stage. We build expensively - with the best materials down to the last element. Our houses are designed in such a way that moisture and noise will be impossible. The roofs will have special tiles to achieve absolute security and are calculated to allow for the possible quick and easy construction of photovoltaic systems. The larger houses also have an elevator. At this, already-experienced people in the business told me I was crazy. However, I don't imagine that the people who live in these homes will be carrying their bags from the market or small children up the stairs! And I want when one day the owners of these homes I built to meet me on the street, we don't pass each other. For them to be proud of their property and for me to be proud that I have created a quality, modern, and sustainable home for them.
I'm one of those people who doesn't trust recommendations much and always does my research. The project I'm developing is cool. I say it boldly because he breaks construction stereotypes in our country. Big companies build expensive, package shiny, and sell even more expensive. Others build massively, pack expensively and sell expensively. I build super expensive and sell cheaper with a low-profit margin. Because my main goal is to create homes that people can be proud of.
