Dentistry is the part of medicine that studies the head in the most detail - the facial skull and bony structures, facial muscles, blood supply, and innervation. It requires fairly accurate fingers and dexterous hands. This is why dentists are exceptionally good at minimally invasive aesthetic medicine. With these two specialties, I can offer my patients aesthetic beautification, a combination of technical perfection and beauty combined with a perfect smile. In both clinics, in Samokov and Sofia, we practice dentistry with an emphasis on aesthetics and implantology along with proven specialists in oral surgery as well as minimally invasive aesthetic medicine.
That it is based solely on appearance. True beauty comes from within and is reflected in the way a person carries their personality and inner happiness. In regards to the human face, the biggest misconception is that there is a standard of beauty to strive for. Each person has unique features that make them beautiful in their way. It is important to see and enhance these individual qualities rather than trying to conform to the standard.
It is very important for me to talk to the patient, listen to him, hear his point of view and his wishes, and create a nice dialogue in which he relaxes and tells me very obviously what he imagines and what he especially wants to improve. Then I look at his face through my professional perspective, always starting from the top down to describe where we can improve something and where we can't. I like to clearly explain to what extent the patient imagines is possible and realistic. I make sure he understands that if I have judged that his cheekbones will not fit, they really will in most cases. I have a very accurate idea of beauty, and if I am doing something partially, the most important thing to me is not the detail itself, but how it stands to the whole picture. It's important to me that patients see me as a friend they can share with without worry.
The current market situation in the industry is significantly different and better. Advances in technology, research, and consumer demand have led to a transformation in the way
we approach beauty. First, there has been a significant increase in the availability and affordability of innovative treatments and procedures. Advances in cosmetic dentistry, facial rejuvenation techniques, and non-invasive procedures have expanded the range of options for patients looking to enhance their beauty. These developments have allowed for more personalized and natural-looking results that meet people's unique needs and desires. Additionally, the market is witnessing a greater emphasis on safety and quality. Regulatory bodies and industry standards in medical practices have contributed to an improved level of patient care and safety. There is now a stronger focus on evidence-based practices, ensuring that treatments and procedures are backed by research and clinical studies. The rise of social media and digital platforms has revolutionized the way beauty products and services are sold and consumed. It provided a platform for greater engagement and awareness. Users now have access to information, reviews, and recommendations, allowing them to make more informed decisions about their beauty and aesthetic treatments. Overall, today's market is characterized by a combination of innovation, safety, variety, and affordability.
I believe the future of beauty will be personalized, high-tech, and revolutionary. Advances in genetics and technology will offer personalized treatments and virtual makeovers. Sustainability will drive environmental practices and ethical standards. Diversity and individuality will enable people to freely express and highlight their unique beauty. It is also rooted in our motto: "The art that is you!" Regulatory bodies and industry standards in medical practices contribute to an improved level of patient care and safety. The rise of social media and digital platforms is revolutionizing the way beauty products and services are sold and consumed. Consumers can now access information and recommendations and make informed decisions about their beauty and aesthetic treatments. Today's marketplace is a combination of innovation, safety, variety, and affordability.
While beauty alone may not save the world, it certainly has the power to inspire positive change and bring joy and happiness into people's lives. Beauty can transcend cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic boundaries and bring people together.
Your father, Dr. Leanne Somi, was a well-known and beloved physician. What did you learn and remember from him about his work and your life?
I'll say one sentence, but that in itself says a lot. My father made me the person I am today. I owe him and my mother everything - and a lifetime would not be enough to repay them for their care, their worry, their time spent talking to us to give us the best upbringing, to pass on their value system, to provide us with a future and, most importantly, to prepare us to one day make it in life on our own. I am proud to have had him as a father. He is an example for me to follow in life, and his words will forever remain in my mind. He is gone, but I, as well as my brothers, make sure his name is heard often. He has taught me that one should never stop developing, learning, and building on oneself. I hope one day to be at least half as wise as he was. So in life as in work, my father was my foundation, my greatest support in every way. "I love you" is small when it comes to him. A man with a big heart and that is why he was so respected by the people who were lucky enough to know such a genuine person as he was. For work, the most important thing he taught me is to never put the financial part first but to do what I love from my heart. That was his motto and now my motto. And that is what makes a Doctor a true Doctor.
