Location
It is situated in the southwestern part of Sofia at the foot of Vitosha Mountain and Boyana Quarter between Bulgaria Blvd., Todor Kableshkov Str., Doyran Str., and Gotse Delchev Blvd. It borders on Beli Brezi and Krasno Selo quarters.
Description
The quarter consists of old panel, high-rise buildings (called EPK - large-area shuttering construction), solid brick buildings and newly-erected modern buildings. The quarter is attractive for many construction companies and investors searching for good infrastructure, greenery and fresh air. The older blocks of flats and the new blocks have very good living-area distribution and are almost all connected to the central heating system. The southeast part borders on Bulgaria Blvd., which makes the access to Borovo easy and fast.

Borovo has many children's playgrounds, a big kindergarten at Doyran Str., three schools - Comprehensive High School No. 34 and Profile English Language High School, the Sofia Language High School at 34 Rodopski Izvor Str., and Comprehensive High School No. 34 Maxim Gorki at 35 Pirinski Prohod Str.
The regional XX polyclinic is at Doyran Str. There is one post office. To meet the needs of the residents, there are many stores and supermarkets and one market-place on the last station of trolley No. 9. BILLA hypermarket is at the crossroads of Bulgaria Blvd. and Todor Kableshkov"Str. On the territory of the quarter are also the showrooms of the motor car giants Porsche, Isuzu and Daewoo.

Public transport to and from Borovo are:
Trolleys No. 2, 9 going along Doyran Str. to the north part of Sofia;
Autobuses No. 102, 204 going along Gotse Delchev Blvd., and Doyran Str. and providing direct connection with the eastern part of the capital, 73, 83, 202, 65;
Tram No. 7 connecting the quarter with the centre.
