"Gala in Sofia 2026" - A Magnificent Music Festival in Partnership with Unique Estates | Christie's International Real Estate

For the second consecutive year, Unique Estates | Christie's International Real Estate had the privilege of serving as General Partner of the "Gala in Sofia" festival, created by internationally acclaimed opera prima donna Sonya Yoncheva. On August 25 and 27, Alexander Nevsky Square brought together world-renowned artists on a single stage to perform timeless classical masterpieces.

Official guests were welcomed with an elegant cocktail reception, attended by partners, friends, and representatives of the company, united by a shared passion for art in one of its highest forms.

Organized by the production company SY11 Events, in partnership with the Sofia Opera and Ballet and with the support of Sofia Municipality and the Bulgarian Patriarchate, the festival drew diverse audiences who together rediscovered timeless classics.

Making his first appearance in Bulgaria, French DJ Charles B marked the opening of "Gala in Sofia" on August 23. During his concert "Boundless," he blended the works of Vivaldi, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky with modern electronic rhythms, bringing together generations of listeners.

August 25 marked a historic evening, as audiences enjoyed the concert version of Giacomo Puccini's operatic masterpiece "Tosca". World stars Sonya Yoncheva and the majestic tenor Jonas Kaufmann sang together in Sofia for the first time, accompanied by the orchestra and choir of the Sofia Opera under the baton of maestro Grigor Palikarov.

The festival's grand finale came on  August 27 with virtuoso violinist David Garrett and his concert "Blue Night", part of his world tour "Millennium Symphony". Conducted by Leonardo Sini, the voice of Sonya Yoncheva and Garrett's mastery created a perfect symbiosis that captivated the thousands of guests gathered on the square.
