Тhe Strelbishte quarter is one of the most prestigious and preferred ones for living. It is situated in south Sofia. To the east it borders P. YU. Todorov Blvd. and South Park, to the south - Gotze Delchev Blvd., and to the northwest - Bulgaria Blvd.
Strelbishte is a very successful combination of old panel, brick and large-area shuttering ("EPK") buildings, as well as new luxury constructions. Almost every building in the neighbourhood has central heating.
The first panel blocks were built around the 70s, and the newer ones- around the end of the 80s. The monolithic and EPK construction works were especially dynamic in the 80s.
The location of the quarter and the proximity of the South Park, as well as its very good infrastructure, make this neighbourhood extremely attractive for investors and respected construction companies.
Emblematic for this quarter are Nishava St., Haidushka Gora St., Bademova Gora St., especially in its part near the South Park, as well as Enos St., Mayor Parvan Toshev St., Dedeagach St., Trayanovi Vrata St., which are near the Bulgaria Blvd.
The quarter is very green and has many playgrounds. There are several kindergartens on its territory, and one of the most preferred is at 42 Dedeagach St. next to Nishava St. There are two schools in the Strelbishte quarter – Primary School No. 126 on Bulgaria Blvd. and Nishava St., and the Technical School in Polygraphy and Photography at Zlatishki Prohod St. There is a cultural club at Rozhenski Prohod St. the quarter has its medical centre and many trade centers. A 24-hour store Fantastiko is situated at Nishava St., and to the east the quarter borders with the Ivan Vazov market place.
Strelbishte has excellent transport connections: tram N 7 and N 1, trolley N 8, busses N 64, N 74, N 76, N 102 , N 204, connect the quarter with the rest of Sofia.
