Arch. Pavel Yanev is the founder of the architectural and design studio "All in studio", which is behind the architectural project of "Aristocrat Hills". The complex of 13 individual houses is located very close to Sofia and offers a safe and peaceful environment amidst fresh air and surrounding greenery. The properties are designed in a modern, clean and functional style, and the materials used are high quality and energy efficient.
What is leading in the conceptual design of "Aristocrat Hills"?
The leading thing in this, as well as all our other projects, is one thing - the man and his feeling when he uses our spaces. And in this case we can best describe the project with a few basic words - "volume, air, freedom and space". Quality living environment, human scale, greenery, smart technologies, functional and innovative design. These are the important things that the new generation of homeowners is looking for. The idea of this project is to bring the feeling of freedom, space and air - the things that people are starting to return to. From both an architectural and an interior point of view, Aristocrat Hills is designed in a way that future occupants will be able to enjoy this feeling in the most natural way possible. The focus of the "new luxury" is to have more light, space and space that allows you to enjoy the open spaces. This focus displaces the idea of overcrowded cities and apartments in congested neighborhoods and residential buildings.
As a result of the Covid pandemic, the requirements of the modern customer have changed significantly. What type of people is the complex intended for?
"Aristocrat Hills" is for those people who greatly appreciate the tranquility and space that their home should provide them, but at the same time would not compromise on the quality of details, materials and comfort. Every time I watch the project, it seems to come to life in front of my eyes and I visualize different people in it, but what unites them every time is the idea of the way of life they want to lead - calm and away from fine dust particles. , congestion and stress - one that provides harmony in the most stylish and elegant way possible.
What is the difference between the "Aristocrat Hills" project?
To date, the real estate market with detached houses lacks the feeling of spacious houses, but rather we see two-storey apartments with small courtyards. During the design we asked a few basic questions and one of them was “What is volume for us and how could we give future users the maximum feeling of air and light. It is for this reason that all living rooms in the houses have a double ceiling and a height of 6 meters. The buildings are located so as to provide enough air, light and views, fleeing overcrowding. Each house has enough sunshine so that the comfort of the occupants is maximized. One of the important things we have been striving for as designers are simple architectural forms and precisely refined details, giving individuality to the houses.
Construction and interior design are subordinated to the idea of reducing energy consumption and reducing pollution. Does this make the project more difficult to implement?
We believe that it does not matter how difficult a project is to implement if it has added value to nature that will pay off over time. Whether the project is more difficult to implement - there are certainly moments and processes that are complicated in one form or another, but we are here to be adaptable, innovative and progress.
You have a number of awards, distinctions and publications in world and local media. How did this complex win you over and what do you strive for in your work as an architect of such a large-scale project?
"Aristocrat Hills" won me and my colleagues with the fact that the investor does not compromise with the project - the volume of the premises, the choice of materials and in general everything that falls into the category of "ALL in STUDIO" project. And our main goal as architects is to look for something new every time, which we manage to add by ourselves and our handwriting.
