Ivan Vazov quarter is the most prestigious south quarter - near the city centre but away from its noise!

 

LOCATION

Ivan Vazov is very close to the centre of the capital. It borders with Bulgaria Blvd. to the north, with Petko Todorov Blvd. to the west and with South Park to the south and east.

 

DESCRIPTION

The quarter impresses with its diverse architecture. There are single-family houses, solid monolithic blocks from 4 to 6 floors, 8-floor panel blocks, 10-floor brick blocks and high-rise EPK (shuttering large panel) buildings.

During the last decade private contractors have built many new blocks of flats in this prestigious quarter.  The big residential buildings have been built in the last 30-35 years. This quarter was one of the "shop-window" of the capital and that's why the construction works made before the 90s are of high quality. There were very few residential complexes at that time, and the construction was primarily monolithic with commercial areas on the ground floor.
