In our new rubric we will share the exciting stories from our team's trips. The first destination in our list is Cape Town, South Africa. Anastasia Petrova tells us about her trip there.
A special wine that Anastasia once tried at a favourite restaurant in Europe took her on this interesting journey in December.
Stonewall's cellar is almost 200 years old. It is situated in a picturesque area, near Somerset West in South Africa. In this fabulous family estate, Anastasia had the chance to enjoy even more of their magnificent wines, as well as the beautiful pastoral landscapes under the cobalt-blue African sky. "The tranquility and ambience of this place is amazing. No noisy crowds of tourists. Beautiful nature, nice people and fantastic wine", she says. Her next stop is “Steenberg” - a luxury wine and golf resort that is really impressive. What we should definitely try, according to Anastasia, is the amazing seafood and wonderful sparkling wines they serve there. The region is very interesting with its rich history and developed wine tourism. The cellars date back from the end of the 17th century. One may experience the traditions and quality of their wines in every bottle, aged on the shelves of the famous wineries. At “Klein Constantia” cellar, established in 1685, Anastasia had the chance to try Napoleon's favourite wine.
From her journey she returned with wonderful memories and a beautiful necklace that gathered the energy and beauty of South Africa, with natural crystals that one may get only there.
